Draft. Written from what the app does today, for a lawyer to check against India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 before it goes live. Text in red still has to be filled in.

Who we are

DWorks is run by [legal name of the business], [registered address]. For anything about your data, write to [privacy email]. Our grievance officer is [name].

What we collect, and why

What others can see

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use service providers to run DWorks: hosting ([Railway, region]), text messages for sign-in codes ([SMS provider]), app notifications (Expo / Google), WhatsApp alerts (Meta, only if you turn them on), and search that understands what you type (Google Gemini; only the words you search are sent). We share data with the police or a court only when the law requires it.

Money

DWorks does not take or send money. When you mark a job as paid, we only record that.

How long we keep it

ID photos: 30 days after the check. Your account and record: while your account is open, then [period] after you delete it, except where the law requires longer.

Your rights

You can see, correct or delete your data, and withdraw consent, from the app or by writing to [privacy email]. We answer within [days]. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Age

DWorks is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
